It started out as a secret spot to bring ashore large stashes of liquor that were smuggled in ships coming into Port San Luis Harbor. Please note that this beach has no restrooms, lifeguards, or facilities. Also called Cave Landing or Mallagh Landing. Shortly after you see the golf course on the right, look for Cave Landing Road going uphill on your left. Take Cave Landing Rd and park in the dirt parking lot at the end. Continue on foot down the path leading south and stay on the left. Go down the wooden steps and proceed to the far end of the beach.

First time experience Pirate's Cove is a neat little beach, a nude beach, at the end of a not very good long dirt trail. People often fall off the edge while in the parking lot. Not very well maintained. Beautiful spot with crashing waves and great photo opps.
